The speed of removal depends on the patient and their tattoo. The Kirby-Desai scale is a popular and well-regarded tool for analyzing the number of treatments a tattoo will need for removal. The scale accounts for the following factors that affect the rate of removal:
Fitzpatrick skin type
Tattoo layering, if the tattoo is a cover-up
Location on the body
Ink colors
Amount of ink
Pre-existing scarring
We encourage patients to exercise, drink ample water, and massage the treated area are good aftercare tips to share with patients looking to get the best results.
To allow the skin enough time to heal between treatments and the body’s immune system to flush away ink, we recommend a minimum of six weeks between laser sessions – and eight weeks for darker complexions. Stacking the treatments too close together can cause damage and permanent side effects to the skin and doesn’t allow the body enough time to remove the ink that was shattered at the most recent session. For ideal results, we recommend waiting two to three months between treatments.
Tattoo removal treatments fit along a bell curve – most patients will need between 6 and 10 treatments, some will see ultimate results in 4 or 5, and others may need 11 or more treatments if there is significant scarring or layered tattoos.

The Carbon laser facial peel (Hollywood Peel) incorporates the use of the Q-switched laser on a medical carbon cream layer applied on the skin. This carbon cream layer acts as a photo-enhancer, which vaporizes when it comes in contact with the laser. At the same time, the carbon takes with it a very thin layer of skin, leaving your skin glowing with a youthful complexion. There is absolutely no downtime and it is safe to be done every 2 weeks. This procedure is extremely popular within the celebrities.
It is a non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation procedure. Instead of destroying the dull and damaged outer layers of skin, fractional laser rejuvenation involves the use of a laser that penetrates beneath the top layers of skin to heat the tissues below. This initiates the body’s natural processes, producing collagen (the essential connective protein that gives the skin structure and youth) and other anti-aging compounds. As the treatment is gentle, there is much less recovery involved than with traditional ablative lasers, and the skin should not peel. These treatments are usually repeated several times, at three to six-week intervals, to produce the best results. Fractional laser resurfacing can treat problems such as:
Poor skin tine
Sun damage
Uneven pigmentation
Minor wrinkles
Large pores
Stretch Marks
Both Dysport and Botox are derived from Clostridium Botulinum and function in the same way: by blocking signals to muscles that normally tell the muscle to contract. Their effects both last an average of 3 months. As for differences
Dysport has a slightly smaller molecular weight, so it tends to spread a little more than Botox, making it more suitable for use in muscles of larger surface area
Many patients state that Dysport kicks in more rapidly than botox
The dosing between the two differs, this accounts for why the pricing per unit differs between the two.
